Call To Action:
Created by Nola Brantley
1. Advocate for Policy Change: Support and advocate for local legislation that addresses violence and exploitation against Black women and girls.
2. Support Local Organizations: Connect with and support local organizations that focus on the empowerment and protection of Black women and girls. This can involve volunteering time, donating resources, or participating in fundraising efforts to help these organizations expand their reach and impact.
3. Raise Awareness and Educate: Use your platforms—social media, community gatherings, or personal conversations—to raise awareness about the issues facing Black women and girls.
4. Implement Community Training Programs: Advocate for the development and implementation of training programs focused on addressing violence and exploitation against Black women and girls. These programs should include training for law enforcement, educators, and community leaders on cultural competency, trauma-informed care, and bystander intervention strategies. Participate in or organize training sessions that equip community members with the tools to recognize, respond to, and prevent violence and exploitation.
